Marco Island is located where the Gulf meets the northern boundary of the Everglades, and the coastal climate here takes a toll on sliding door hardware. From canal homes to condos along Collier Boulevard to snowbird rentals on South Collier, all sliding glass doors are subject to damage from salt spray, humidity, and Florida's storm season. Hurricane Ian in September 2022 caused the storm surge to go up to Old Marco and down the south end. After the surge, many of the sliding doors did not slide after that.
We’ve handled more than 3,000 doors across Collier County. Free estimate, no hidden fees.
Our Sliding Door & Glass Repair Services
We have serviced all types of sliding glass door equipment in Marco Island, including homes that front canals and high-rise apartments on South Collier. Rolling door hardware, tracks, impact window glass, and door locks: we not only keep inventory of all the replacement parts, but we generally will complete the repairs the same day that we come out to your location.
Shattered Glass Replacement
Safety hazards result from broken or cracked sliding glass doors. We remove the damaged panel by replacing it with new glass that has been installed in accordance with local building codes; during installation we will also secure all existing frames.
Roller & Wheel Replacement
Meaning the sliding doors on Marco Island will slide quicker and smoother than any other place in Southwest Florida because the salt air hits both sides of the door. This has resulted in wearing out rollers and wheels fast on Marco Island than anywhere else. We replace all damaged and worn rollers and wheels, both tandem and ball bearing, in sizes of 1-1/4” and 1-1/2″. The door will glide as it should after installing new rollers or wheels.
Track Repair & Alignment
The humidity from the Gulf and saltwater spray causes a lot of dirt and buildup in the sliding door tracks, and storm surge – as Ian brought to the area in 2022 – causes damage at a faster rate than the other two examples. We will clean out the entire sliding door track system, repair and/or replace what we can, and use a stainless steel cap rail on damaged areas depending on the size of your sliding door.
Lock & Handle Security
A malfunctioning locking mechanism or handle on your sliding door may not only result in the inability to secure the door but also may put you at risk of harm due to a lack of security. The amount of salt in the air on Marco Island causes salt to corrode all locking mechanisms over time, ultimately seizing them completely. We will repair or replace any locks or handles to ensure they function properly so that you can lock and unlock all of your doors securely each time you use the door.
Screen Door Repair
Screen doors on Marco Island take a beating from the Gulf on one side and the Everglades on the other – insects, salt mist, and year-round outdoor living on lanais and patios. We repair or replace screens, including torn mesh, bent frames, and worn rollers, and keep the bugs out while the breeze comes in.
Electrostatic Painting
Humidity and salt from canals on Marco Island create a humid climate where the sun constantly shines above at a high temperature, causing metal frames to degrade and rust faster than owners anticipate. Our electrostatic paint process allows us to restore existing metal frames to “like-new” condition without requiring you to replace them.
Shower Glass Doors
We carry out repairs and installations of shower glass doors in a number of configurations and options, including frameless and semi-frameless. If you require a replacement panel, hardware adjustments, or anything to ensure that your shower door system is clean, secure, and fits properly, we can assist you.
Commercial Glass Services
Our team provides commercial glass services such as repairing and replacing broken glass door systems for office spaces and businesses with a storefront or similar. From the Esplanade Shoppes to marina-side businesses on Marco Island, we will handle any broken glass or door systems to ensure that your business is safe and looks presentable.
Window Repair & Installation
Our services include repairing and installing windows for homes and businesses in Marco Island. Cracked glass, broken seals, and damaged window frames can all be repaired. Hurricane season goes from June to November each year, so to protect their homes from the elements, Collier County homeowners need to be able to have impact-resistant windows that can withstand hurricane winds and that have been properly sealed.

"Marco Island gets salt air from nearly every direction because of how the waterways are laid out. That means hardware wears differently here than anywhere else we work – and hurricane season hits harder. We've been servicing doors on this island since before Ian, and we're still here."

Common Sliding Door Problems in Marco Island & Why You Shouldn’t Wait
Corroded or Worn-Out Rollers
For sliding glass doors that are close to an ocean, corrosion and wear out can occur rapidly. Heavy sliding door panels will have their rollers breaking in 3–5 years maximum in this environment. On Marco, the homes located along the canal receive salt-laden air from many different directions where the wind is coming from. A product we address primarily on Marco is stuck rollers – we replace the old rollers with new rollers manufactured using parts rated for coastal conditions in Florida.
Misaligned or Broken Tracks
Wear, impact, and debris accumulation can cause tracks to fall out of alignment. House settling can also misalign sliding doors – this occurs in older waterfront homes in Old Marco. After Ian, we found tracks that had previously been problem-free filled with debris and mineral buildup from flooding caused by storm surge. Once a track has been misaligned, it will not self-correct. Leaving a misaligned track will result in damage to the roller and ultimately require the track to be completely replaced.

Worn Weather Stripping
Weatherstripping that has lost its integrity will allow drafts, moisture, and heat to flow into your home, affecting its energy efficiency and overall comfort. Coastal elements break down weatherstripping faster than most homeowners expect. In Marco Island’s summer humidity, a compromised seal is an invitation for moisture damage inside the frame.
Fogged or Broken Glass
In addition to affecting visibility, fogged and cracked glass panels will also impact the insulating properties and safety of the panels during hurricanes. Damage caused by hurricane debris or thermal stress isn't always visible right away. Coastal Building Codes in Collier County require impact-rated glass in almost all homes; therefore, if there is a cracked panel, you will not meet the required code, and we will replace the panel.
